Major Jeffrey R. O'Brien who died on March 1, 2026 was a graduate of the Federal Officer Candidate School Class 9-2012.

Major O'Brien, a 45-year-old Army Reserve officer from Waukee, Iowa, was killed in action on March 1, 2026, during an Iranian drone strike on a tactical operations center at Port Shuaiba, Kuwait. He was one of six soldiers from the 103rd Sustainment Command in Des Moines killed during Operation Epic Fury.
